The Problem with Being Wrong

So just today I was thinking, man I wish I had a soapbox to blog about. Well, friends sometimes life is a kick in the pants like that. I have a new soapbox and I hate having it. Here goes...
I hate being wrong. There. I said it. In fact I did more than just say it, I admitted it to the world...well, the world of all three of you who read this blog, but that's still a good start for me. I once had a friend tell me that I wasn't manipulative, but that I always had to be right and if you had a different opinion you were wrong. How sad is that? But then again, he hit the nail on the head. Well, I am finally admitting that maybe I am wrong sometimes. You know what sucks about being wrong? Actually I am sure there are many reasons why being wrong sucks, but you know for me there is one huge thing. I am a passionate person and I like to put all of my eggs in one basket cuz I get so excited about that one thing. The part that sucks is that when you are wrong all of your eggs get broken and it's very disheartening for someone like me. I feel like I have to start all over again from scratch. I guess it could be worse, I could be trying to bake something from scratch. That's hard all the way around for all involved! Holla back! You know if I could be right all the time it would save me a lot of stress, tears, money on plane tickets, and generally I could solve the world's problems. Think of what an asset I would be to you! Course I guess if I was right all the time then I would have no true friendships cuz I thrive off people mocking me. I just do. Get rid of all of my blond moments and i would just be...well boring. In the end I just have to endure what everyone else does. Mainly, I have to endure the disappointment of life not working out as I planned. SICK. Isn't there an option B?

Come on, Sue. You aren't wrong all that often... only when your opinion differs from mine...

Oh come on Sue...being wrong isn't bad all the time. Just think of all those times that it was a blessing in disguise! But to tell the truth I hate being wrong to. It's taken 6 years, but I'm starting (note the starting) to admit that Dan is right sometimes, and that yes...sigh...I was wrong. Sorry there is no option B. That's what the plan is all about. Heartache and pain are good teachers and the lessons learned from them are not easily forgotten. Wow, I guess that was my soapbox. Call me..we should talk.

Well, now you know that there are more than 3 people who read your blog. Just letting you know that you are loved....even if you are wrong most of the time...
