Way too early this morning I was excited retelling my adventures of watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with my HP Groupies to my sister. My brother-in-law (whom I love dearly) turns to me and gives me some advise. He says I wouldn't mention this to other people while you are still looking for a boyfriend. Of course this was followed by a JK and a comment about loving me. So I pondered this sound advise for about 10 seconds and you know what I decided to do about it? I am going to make myself a new giant Harry Potter Comforter and I'm going to blog my obsession to the world. BOOYAH!
This is me! I fell in love with Harry December 1999. My best friend Michelle fell in love with him at the same time. Finally, a boy we both could be in love with and dream of and not have to compete with each other over. (Considering her tract record she would have won... I'm just saying!) When book 4 came out we all dress up...and I mean DRESSED UP!!! If they were digital pictures I would post them...luckily for those in the picts who hope to run for political offices or Homecoming Queen: The Next Generation they are film picts. Anyway, the point is, we started obsessed and we will be going out strongly obsessed. Nothing (besides a mission) could stop us from being at any midnight Harry Potter Party. Not weather, not sleep, not work, and definitely not child size white tees, more affectionately known as muscle tees. You better believe yesterday we camped out, oh yes we did, for 5 hours, played Harry Potter Clue and decorated t-shirts. Then with all the other enthusiasts we clapped and cheered when it began, screamed in sheer terror throughout the majority of the movie, and mocked Julena for crying when it ended. I have to admit, as excited as I am for the second half of the 7th movie to be released next July, I feel a deep sadness as this ritual starts to come to a close. Will I cry over it? You bet! Will I stay single over it? There is a good chance. Will I get a Deathly Hallows Tattoo? I will dream of it and then create my own stick on kind. If you haven't seen it, go soon! If you haven't read them, start today! If you refuse to read them, then I just don't understand you and I can't help you! POTTER POWER!!

1) be yourself. we love you. I love HP, too, but small children have deprived me of midnight showings for 6 and 7
2) As for comforters, my (older) brother happens to have a wall-e bedspread (and he went to HP at midnight too), and I love him for it, among other things
3) I may (or may not) have checked out an American Girl movie at the library last week. It wasn't Caleb's pick....
way to be you
Yup. Pretty much I already miss yesterday. Maybe we should pretend it's coming out again, and camp out again next weekend. :)
lol, I freakin love you em! Yes, I too dragged my husband out to see HP last night. My mom babysat the little one. Sadly it was not the midnight showing since I couldn't leave baby that late or that long, but stand in line we did for and hour and a half to see one of my favorite books play out on the big screen. My hubby read the books after aLOT of encouragement and while he is not the raving fan that I am. He finally appreciates the goodness that is HP and will even brave the masses to see it on the big screen with me :)
I hoped that you would be there. Me in my lameness wasn't...in fact I haven't read 5 or 6 therefore can't watch them yet. But I though fondly of Potter Power days and am glad that someone carrys on the tradition of it.
